BRAGG COMPANIES TOP GOLF MONTEBELLO PROJECT

Bragg Companies recently worked on the new Top Golf Montebello site location, erecting the structural steel to frame the facility.

When Top Golf and McCarthy Construction started their work on their second location in the Los Angeles area, they knew just who to call. Bragg Crane and Rigging completed the Top Golf El Segundo project in 2021 and the project manager, Kevin Adams, was an easy choice for the team to run the Top Golf Montebello job as well.

Situated on a corner of the Montebello Country Club, Top Golf’s new location was a straightforward one for Kevin and his team. Utilizing a Liebherr LTM 1160 190 Ton Mobile Crane, the team of ironworkers erected the steel structure and completed all the welded and bolted connections within 8 weeks. After a brief hiatus away from the jobsite waiting for other work to be performed, the ironworkers will return to install a portion of miscellaneous steel items such as bar top supports and TV mount supports.

This project was the first on which our team used our new InEight project management software to manage the project operations both in the field and from the office. The ironworker  superintendent, Armando, would have his team clock in and out on a tablet each day, streamlining the timekeeping and payroll processes immensely. Kevin and Armando also utilized InEight to track project budgets, hold project schedules, and review plans on the jobsite to keep the crew on track and the job on schedule.

Kevin said of the job “Having InEight on the project made it a smooth run.” He is looking forward to using the application on jobs in the future and will soon be tasked with training other project managers on the strengths and capabilities of the program.
