Here at Bragg, we take safety very seriously. Our priority is for all our employees to get home safely to their families; for this reason, we launched Your Family Needs You Campaign were through training, recognition programs, stickers, posters, talking points and so much more we are continually reminding all our employees to be alert, aware and not complacent.
On our jobsites, in our offices, and in our working behavior we need to think of safety first. This means not rushing in our work, not taking short cuts for the sake of time. We need to think first of our own safety and the safety of our colleagues.

The National Safety Council reported that 80% of workplace incidents are due to unsafe behavior. Additionally, they report there are an average of 552 deaths per day due to complacency. This means that we are likely to be complacent at tasks or in settings we are more familiar and that can lead to unsafe choices and conditions. This means that we are likely to feel more comfortable completing tasks we are familiar with, and due to that we skip steps that we feel as unnecessary.
SAFETY IMPEMENTATION EFFORTS
One of the biggest implementation efforts our Safety team has launched is the S.T.A.R.T. (Supervisor Training in Accountability and Recognition Techniques) Training. Since starting last year, they have gone to 15 locations and trained over 330 employees.
Additionally, our safety team that had work tiredly in this campaign launched a Protect What Matters effort, where new safety posters were rolled out to reinforce critical risk awareness and prevention. Many of the branches have already received these posters and put them in place.
These materials are designed to support proactive conversations, strengthen situational awareness and help prevent serious injuries and incidents before they happen.
The goal is very simple, to work as a team and for these posters to be a constant reminder that help prevent incidents; but more than anything Protect What Matters:
