Bragg Companies' hosted the 2021 Charity Golf Tournament for our loyal customers, vendors and employees on October 4, 2021.

Originally scheduled for April 2020, the Bragg Companies Charity Golf Tournament was postponed three times to ensure it took place in a safe and recommended way. Now, as we have seen the COVID-19 pandemic slow down, we were so excited to host our loyal customers, vendors and employees for a fun-filled day of golf and raffle prizes all in support of our local charity partners.

Tragically, one of our Bragg Crane & Rigging Project Managers, Lucas Ringheim, passed away due to COVID-19 earlier this year. Lucas’ parents established the Lucas Ringheim Memorial Scholarship at his alma mater, California State University Chico.  This year’s tournament was in Lucas’ memory and the scholarship was a benefiting charity.

Our other charity partners this year reflect our enduring commitment to our Long Beach headquarters community. Proceeds from the golf tournament will support Ronald McDonald House Long Beach, US Vets Long BeachThe Guidance Center, and our local Fairfield YMCA branch of the YMCA of Greater Long Beach. We are proud of these relationships, both long-term and new.

This year’s tournament was the largest to date, with 155 golfers taking part. The course was beautiful and the weather for the day was perfect for a round.

We are grateful to all of our 26 sponsors especially to our four Platinum sponsors: Encore Gas & SupplyRD Reed TruckingReeves Trucking, and Westrux International. Leadership in each of our core divisions approached the sponsorship request process as a friendly competition, all in benefit of our charity partners. In the end, that friendly competition will serve to benefit our local community more than previously anticipated.

All in all, the 2021 golf tournament was an all -around great experience; allowing our customers, vendors and employees to connect and support good causes. We can’t wait to do it again in 2022- see you all then!
